Valuable Information About Cooler Master Aluminum Computer Cases

When you look at a computer, you are normally not looking at the processor, memory, or graphics card; you are looking at the case. Computer cases protect components, and keep things running cool enough so they do not overheat. Whether you are looking for a case to show off your RGB lighting or just want something functional, Cooler Master has a wide assortment of cases for you to choose from.

How do you select the right case?

Some factors to consider when selecting Cooler Master aluminum computer cases include:

  • Size: Will the case fit in the place you intend to put your computer?
  • Cooling features: Does it meet the cooling needs of your components?
  • Depth size: Is it deep enough to fit your CPU cooler?
  • Storage: Is it large enough for everything that you have now and any future additions you would like to make? Be aware that some graphics cards are longer than a mini-sized case has room for.
  • Cables: Will the power supply's cables be long enough to reach all of the cards and drives that require power?
  • Ease of use: How easy is it to open the case to access your peripherals?
What sizes are available?

PC cases come in different sizes and form factors. The standard for cases sizes is based upon the motherboards that fit in them. Full and mid-sized cases are compatible with most ATX motherboards. Micro ATX cases are only compatible with Micro ATX and Mini-ITX models but these smaller boards can be used with the larger cases.

Besides being compatible with the larger motherboards, full-sized tower cases are able to hold more peripherals along with larger heatsinks and fans for cooling.

How does a case keep the components cool?

Cases play an integral role in keeping your components from overheating. Products such as the Coolmaster Mastercase are designed for optimal air flow which consists of at least one fan for intake and another for exhaust. The front of this case features a metal mesh grill that allows air to flow in freely. You can customize the cooling system of your case by adding fans or radiators to it.

It is also important to remember to keep your system free of dust. Some case models feature a removable filter at the intake that can be cleaned to prevent dust buildup.

What front panel options are there?

Front panels provide additional USB and audio ports. Depending on the case, there may be USB 2 and USB 3 ports. There may also be headphone and microphone jacks.
