Exterior Mirrors for Honda Fit

The Honda Fit is a car designed by Honda that comes in different models like a hybrid. Though it first came out in 2001, Honda released a second generation and then a third generation in 2014. Side view mirrors and other Honda Fit exterior mirrors enhance your view and help you keep track of everything around you.

What is a heated mirror?

If you live in a cooler part of the country, you might consider investing in heated mirrors. These products work on both the driver side and passenger side. With ordinary reflective glass, ice and snow can stick to the surface. Youll need to clean the exterior mirrors before driving. With heated products for the passenger side or driver side, you can save yourself some time. These mirrors have wiring inside that connects back to a heater motor. This motor produces the energy and the heat necessary to melt the snow and ice. You can press a button inside your vehicle to turn on the motor. Aftermarket companies make heater kits that are compatible with all Fits, too.

What is a convex mirror?

Convex mirrors are smaller products like those youll often see on semi-trucks and larger vehicles. Most have one on the driver side and one on the passenger side in addition to the main mirror. Instead of having sharp edges around the sides, these are round in design. The front has a convex shape that bulges out from the back. It gives you a better view of your surroundings but takes up less space. Youll actually find some that come with an adhesive backing. The idea is that you peel off the paper sheet on the back and apply it right on top of your old mirror. Other exterior mirrors require some glue or similar adhesive to install.

Where can you use replacement exterior mirrors?

Side view mirrors include those designed for the driver side and passenger side. Fits come with buttons on the interior that let you adjust one or more of those side view mirrors. Each driver can adjust and change his or her view. Honda designs different types of mirrors for the passenger side as well as the driver side. Those reflective pieces work with the rear view mirror to give you a good look at things around and behind you. Some products use the name blind spot mirror. These adjust easier to help you see your blind spot better.

What companies make replacement mirrors?

You probably expect to find replacements from Honda because it makes the Fits. Honda does make exterior mirrors for all models of this vehicle. However, in addition to products from Honda, you can get side view mirrors from other companies. Brock, Dorman, Keystone Automotive Operations, and TYC all make side view mirrors for the Fit. Some of these are kits that come with both the reflective piece and the covering that protects that piece. Other companies sell just replacement glass. You can use the glass to fix any broken mirror on any generation of Fit.
