Luces LED Para Honda CR-V

Honda CR-V LED Lights

There are several different types of lights you can use for your Honda CR-V. Many vehicle owners choose to go with LED lights due to the benefits they have over other types of auto lights. Outfitting your Honda with LED lights will not only improve your vehicles performance, but it will also make your CR-V safer when you are out on the road at night.

How do LED lights work?

LED lights are comprised of a diode, which acts as a semiconductor that controls the flow of electricity. Inside the diode, there are two components: the p-type semiconductor and the n-type semiconductor. The p-n junction lies between these two parts. When an electric current is run through the diode, the negatively charged electrons in the n-type semiconductor are attracted to the positively charged electrons in the p-type semiconductor. As the negatively charged electrons cross the p-n junction, they lose energy. This energy is given off in the form of light.

What applications can LED lights be used for?

Although you may not realize it, your Honda CR-V is outfitted with many lights throughout the car. Each type of light can be an LED light. On your Honda, youll find LED bulbs in the:

  • Headlights: These lights are located on the front of the CR-V. They produce a bright white light that illuminates the road in front of the vehicle.
  • Tail and brake lights: These lights turn on when the driver turns the headlights on. They glow red to alert other drivers to the CR-Vs presence. When the driver steps on the brake, the lights become brighter and more vibrant.
  • Turn signals: These blinking lights alert other drivers that the Honda CR-V will be making a turn. They are usually amber or orange in color.
  • Side marker lights: These lights face sideways on the Honda. They let other drivers see the vehicle from the side.
  • Convenience lights: These lights are found inside the car. They help the driver or passengers see in dark conditions. For example, lights may be located in the glove box, the mirrors on the visors, or on the underside of the roof.
What are the advantages of LED lights?

There are several reasons why you may want to install LED lights on your Honda. These reasons include:

  • Energy efficiency: LEDs do not make heat when they burn, meaning they are quite efficient. They do not create a burden on your cars battery or alternator.
  • Improved performance: LEDs burn bright. They are also directional, meaning the light being produced by the LED bulb can be pointed in certain directions, allowing you to see more at night.
  • Durability: The bulbs do not contain filaments, meaning they are able to withstand shocks, vibrations, and even extreme temperatures.
  • Long life span: You can expect LED bulbs to last up to 30,000 hours before they need to be replaced.
