  • Type B: This adapter type is designed primarily for peripheral devices like smartphones, cameras, and printers. The micro and mini formats are rectangular, while the standard size is square. Their pin design is identical to Type-A connectors.
  • Type C: This adapter type is used on host and peripheral devices and features two-way charging and reversible plugs. A two-way plug lets you charge your host from your peripheral device. Reversible plugs allow you to insert the male connector with any long side facing up.
